A Freemasons lodge in West Cumbria has stepped up to support a local food bank in Cockermouth by donating much-needed food items.
The Cumbria Freemasons lodge recognized the urgent need at the North Lakes Food Bank in Cockermouth and decided to take action.
A spokesperson for the lodge shared, "It was brought to our attention this week that the North Lakes Food Bank in Cockermouth was experiencing a critical shortage of items needed to assist the community."
At the annual Provincial Grand Chapter meeting held at The Garden at Eden, the 2nd Grand Principal, Ken Archer, made a heartfelt appeal to the members. He urged them to contribute to this vital cause by bringing food items to the meeting. The response was overwhelming, with over 150 items collected for donation.
"Many thanks to the members who donated; these items were extremely well received," the spokesperson continued.
Ken Archer proudly delivered the donated items to Craig and Jenni at the food bank, ensuring that the contributions would quickly reach those in need.
