Mick Pescod is a founding member of the ‘Three Pillars: Feeding the Homeless’ charity. The charity delivers food and other goods to homeless and vulnerable people in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Hertfordshire. In fact, the charity itself is a Masonic organisation, which Mick has been a member of for 30 years. Freemasonry is “not a secret society” but its rituals are shrouded in secrecy. The charity has been running for six years now and Mick was recently awarded a Purple Plaque for Services to the Community by the Office for National Statistics. He says his work gives him “a buzz” and keeps him busy in his retirement.
