The Landmark Lodge, a Masonic lodge in Maple Ridge, recently celebrated its 75th anniversary. The event took place at the local Freemasons’ hall and was attended by 52 people, including members receiving awards for long-time service.
The lodge, founded in 1946, was the first Masonic lodge in the province following WWII, and its membership quickly grew to over 100. Originally established in Vancouver, the lodge moved to Maple Ridge in the 1980s. Although it turned 77 this year, the 75th-anniversary celebration was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The organization, which fosters international cooperation, brotherly love, relief, and truth, currently has 24 members and is open to men interested in joining the world’s oldest and largest fraternity.
