The National Summer Games for athletes with an intellectual disability will be held in Hamilton from December 8 – 12. The four-yearly pinnacle sporting event was postponed last year because of the World pandemic. 1400 athletes and coaches will be competing in 10 sports across eight venues in the Waikato. Organisers need over 600 volunteers to run the sports, logistics, as well as the healthy athletes screening programme.
