The Provincial Grand Lodge of Antrim is spearheading the project in Templepatrick. The old masonic hall will be brought back to its former glory with an investment of £400k. The Provincial Grand lodge, with 145 lodges, will soon leave its Belfast office and aim to make the new headquarters a bustling space. The Provincial Grand Lodge of Antrim is to undergo a major refurbishment.
The building was originally constructed in the late 1800’s and is not listed by Historic Monuments or the local planning service. The original stone boundary wall and entrance pillars were demolished some years ago and replaced with an out of character timber fence.
