Freemasons Fund New Shed for Addingham’s Work Shed Group

The Addingham Good Neighbours group has recently benefited from a new wooden shed, thanks to the Freemasons of Yorkshire West Riding funding via their Community Fund.

This grant was secured following a successful application by the Olicana Lodge. The shed is now being utilized as a storage space for the WorkShed group, which gathers every Monday morning at the Scout Hall located behind the Sports Pavillion.

Under the guidance of Ken Edgar, the group, consisting of up to 16 members, crafts various wooden items using recycled materials. With the addition of this new storage shed, the group anticipates the capability to create an even broader array of products.

David Marshall, the Worshipful Master, expressed his satisfaction with the Freemasonry’s ongoing efforts to support charitable and community-based initiatives.

A representative from Addingham Good Neighbours expressed their gratitude towards the Freemasons for funding the shed, the Scouts for offering their premises, and the Parish Council, the landowners.
