Freemasons Assist Councillors to Provide Free School Uniforms

In recent times, the Freemasons have joined hands with local councillors to distribute free school uniforms to children in West Cumbria.

Key figures like DPGM Bill Morley, Jeff Kane, and councillor Michael Eldon have been at the forefront of this initiative, focusing on the Cleator Moor community.

The primary objective behind this endeavor is to alleviate the financial burden on families, especially during the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Neil Dixon, a representative from Cumbria Freemasons, shed light on the initiative’s inception. He mentioned that Councillor Michael Eldon was the brainchild behind the scheme.

The Freemasons extended their support by offering the Masonic centre as a hub for the initiative and actively participating in the distribution process.

The uniforms, which are donated, are available for free to anyone in need. The response to this initiative has been overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the support during these challenging economic times.
