The Lodge of Aberdeen No. 1 ter. donated £500 each to three Aberdeen charities: Mental Health Aberdeen, AberNecessities, and Aberdeen Cyrenians.
The Master of the lodge, Michael Reid, said that the donations were an excellent way to put something back into the community and show support to local causes that are close to the lodge’s members’ hearts.
The charities received the money in person and representatives offered their thanks. The lodge is based at Freemasons’ Hall on Crown Street and holds monthly meetings.
AberNecessities supports disadvantaged families by delivering essential items free of charge, while Aberdeen Cyrenians has a long history of supporting people in crisis including the homeless, those struggling with addiction and abuse victims.
Mental Health Aberdeen founded in 1950 provides free counseling and information services to adults and young people across the city.
